Outdoor Activities on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas #SeastheDay

I was super excited to join 39 other bloggers on a 4 night cruise to Cozumel from Fort Lauderdale earlier this month. We sailed out on Liberty of the Seas: which was built in 2006/2007. Liberty of the Seas weighs in at a gross tonnage of 154,407. Measuring 338.9 meters long and 38.6 meters wide she can hold up to 5,728 people including crew members. We had a ton of free-time to explore the ship on our own. There are so many great Indoor and outdoor activities on Liberty of the Seas.

Firstly: Coming from Minnesota, I was most interested in the outdoor activities on Liberty of the Seas. I needed to be outside as much as possible to soak up some Vitamin D and let my skin come back to an acceptable shade!

My favorite way to do this is simply laying out on the deck.  There are several areas to lay out, all along two decks: near the pools and on the top deck all the way around the running track. Sun Bathing Liberty SeasBut if you’re a little more active: there is also plenty of swimming areas! The above photo is the main swimming area. This is also the location for much of the fun entertainment, including the International Belly Flop Competition, the Sail Away Party with Dreamworks Characters, the World’s Sexiest Man competition and the White Night Poolside Party.

For Family and adults only: there are also swimming areas that are a little more your style.

Pools Liberty SeasHeading towards the back portion of Liberty of the Seas, you will find all sorts of family-friendly outdoor activities. The Mini-Golf course is a great way to spend some time with the family.

Mini Golf Liberty Seas There is also a court for basketball, and a ginormous rock climbing wall

Climbing Wall Liberty Seas The Flow Rider was really fun to watch: but no way would I participate! I saw way too many girls covering up their goodies when their swimsuit parts were flying off! Moms: Beware of your boys going there just for that! ha! And Girls: Plan for proper fitting swimwear (i.e. one pieces with straps!) that won’t come off when you fall.

Among other things that I didn’t discuss or photograph: There is a walking/running trail on the top deck, as well as a few outdoor bars and Sprinkles Ice Cream stand! Outdoor Activities Liberty Seas

Staying on the Liberty of the Seas was sure a great treat – and to be away from Minnesota during one of the last big snowstorms of the season was fantastic. I am super excited to bring my family back with me some day, too.

The indoor activities on Liberty of the Seas are also a ton of fun, and I’ll be discussing them, next!

I attended this cruise with the Brandcation Group and Royal Caribbean. All thoughts are my own.
