As my kids get older, the basic bath toys aren’t as exciting. The newest exciting thing in our tub is Boon bath toys! The Boon Cogs and Pipes make bath time more fun, while the Frog Pod and Ripple bath mat make it easier to clean up!
The Boon Cogs Water Gears and Boon Pipes Building Toy are a great addition to the bath tub! The cogs can work together or separately, as can the pipes. It’s a bit hard to line the pipes up correctly to pour into each other, but it’s a good challenge and fun when they do! My 3 year old loves to mix and match so the pipes and cogs interact with each other too. These take the simplicity of bath time and make it more interactive for bigger kids. And stops me from getting squirted by the traditional squirt toys!
My biggest concern was the suction cups. They hold great on the tub itself. On the tile walls they all held through the bath, then about 50% of them fell down overnight. The other 50% are still stuck there a week later.
Then there are the Boon Fleet boats! These stacking boats act as cups, boats, and whatever else little brains can make them into. The colors are fun and it’s slightly better to have water dumped on your head by a boat than a cup.
The Boon Ripple bath mat is my favorite. It’s a great bath mat help down by suction cups, then the ends are made so I can hook it, either open or folded, on the shower spout or other hooks within the tub. This lets it easily hang to dry so it doesn’t build up grossness underneath.
The Boon Frog Pod is also a great addition to any shared tub! We only have the one bath, so toys have to get picked up every time. The frog pod scoop is big enough to hold all the small toys. The legs and base stay attached to the wall firmly while the body comes off to scoop out toys and hook back onto the base. It works smoothly and easily, definitely a help for clean-up!
Overall, the Boon bath products have made bath time better for our family. We’ve added them to our arsenal of squirt toys and wash cloths. The strips on the Frog Pod are one-time use, so it’ll be interested to get them off when we move, then we can use new strips to re-hang it. Otherwise, each products feels like good quality that will last.
