Switching to Cloth Diapers

We’re full force into cloth diapering! Being a mom on a tight budget, I thought about the cost and figured if I had to spend $10-$15 a diaper, it would be more expensive than it was worth just to get started. I found Alva diapers as a cheaper option, but noted some reviews saying the shipping was incredibly slow and I felt wary when I visited their site.

SuperStash.Net

SuperStash.net sells both Alva and Kawaii cloth diapers as well as CJs products at great prices! I was really excited to find a source of Alva diapers (being so affordable!) that had mommy reviews of being reliable! Super Stash has a large selection of types, patterns/colors, and inserts. Plus the website is informative and easy to navigate, and the owner is friendly and helpful. Once I got used to the organization of the website and the way she has the diapers separated into different groups, it was easy to find and order what I wanted! For $15 (and $5 shipping) I got 3 diapers and 1 insert (I already have a ton of inserts from a friend) and was excited to also get a sample of detergent and CJs butter when I opened my box!

Alva Cloth Diapers

As far as the Alva diapers, I love the Alva pocket diapers. I simply stuff an insert or two into the pocket and snap it on. I haven’t had any trouble with leaks or deterioration. I was concerned that the lower price meant a lower quality, but that worry has been unfounded.

alva inside

The Alva diaper cover is also great, the outer part can be re-used if unsoiled, or used without inserts as a swim diaper. I feel like the flaps at the front and back are larger than they need to be and, as a result, get soiled more easily than they would if they were smaller. It is also easier for the insert to get all bunched up in the middle leaving the sides less protected. The diaper is made well with extra leg protection, though, and I haven’t had any trouble with leaks outside of the diaper.

Alva diaper cover

Overall I love Super Stash and definitely plan on ordering Alva diapers there for any future needs! Check out Super Stash online and on Facebook to shop for yourself or for more information.

We’re excited to start cloth diapering when our first little one arrives! There are so many great reasons to cloth diaper; better for the environment, better for baby’s bottom, and my husband’s reason, better for our budget!

I love using cloth diapers! After our great experience with our first child, my husband and I didn’t even give it a second thought for our second. At first, my husband had some doubts about using cloth diapers, but those are now all gone.

We’ve been cloth diaper for 17months and love trying out all kinds of different types and brands! It’s so freeing never having to worry about running out of diapers. I’m not sure that we’ve saved all that much over disposables so far since I keep using a good part of the money we save with cloth to buy more cute cloth diapers!
