Reusable Baby Food Pouches!
Emersyn is barely 1 year old and about a month ago she decided she is too old to be fed. If I try to feed her she hits the spoon, grabs the spoon, shuts her mouth or screams. She insists on grabbing the spoon or the food all by herself. So, I started hunting the baby pouches route again. Emersyn doesn’t love pouches as much as Micah, but it’s way easier than wiping food off every surface in the dining room! The throw-away pouches get expensive fast, so I was really excited to get Squooshi pouches to review and share with you! Opinions are 100% my own as always, and my opinion of the Squooshi pouches is: awesome!
Squooshi Reusable Pouches
The Squooshi pouches have zippers at the bottom and reusable caps on top. The bottom zippers open wide for decently easy filling, I like to use a baby or toddler spoon so that’s a little easier. Try not to get any food on the zipper and wipe it off if you do. Then zip closed and eat! Or store in the fridge or freezer for later.
The bigger Squooshi pouches say they hold up to 4.5 oz, I think they hold closer to 4oz. I can fit an entire jar of baby food inside and just zip it closed without overflow. The little ones hold about 2.5 oz, a little more than half of the bigger ones.
The Squooshi cap is the same size as most pouches, so losing one doesn’t really scare me because I know a store-bought one will fit. The walls of the pouches seem well-made and I’m confident they will hold up. The non-animals print ones seem to have thicker walls than the others. The walls flex a little when the kids tilt it to eat, but doesn’t bend over and block the flow as easily as others I’ve used.
The Squooshi clean-up process isn’t bad. The pouches are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand. I prefer to rinse mine well then either refill immediately or put them in the dishwasher. Of course it’s a harder item for a dishwasher to handle, so the better you pay attention to getting them clean, the longer they will last.
The animal patterns are super cute, with faces on the fronts and tails on the back!
My only problem is that Emersyn is teething, so those little nozzles get bitten out of shape quickly. I can bite them back in to shape, but I’m seriously considering buying some of the bite-guard ChooMee Sip’n soft tops.
I love making home made baby food! These would be perfect for storage!

These look like they would be awesome for on the go snacking! I wish they would have had them when dd was a baby but she can still use them for things like yogurt or smoothies on the go!

We try as much as possible to feed our kid home-cooked food. Having these pouches sure beats buying pre-packaged processed food. At least we know he will be eating healthier and helping us save money.

My kids love to eat out of pouches so these would be great to have especially since they are dishwasher safe.
I hate tossing the store-bought ones after the 5 seconds it takes for my son to suck them down – these are awesome!
