A couple weeks ago our Britax Convertible car seat was stolen. I about cried! It was my favorite. I loved the Britax Marathon car seat when I first got it (Micah looks so little!), so I was incredibly bummed when it disappeared. Then, I was super excited to get the new Britax Advocate UltimateComfort Series Convertible Car seat to replace it! After the first Britax seat, I expected nothing but comfort and ease of use, and the Britax Advocate did not disappoint. (No worries, opinions are 100% my own as always)
The Britax Advocate UltimateComfort Convertible Car Seat is Mom-Friendly
And dad-friendly. It’s LATCH system is super easy to install, or if you don’t have LATCH the belt system is easy to do as well. The cover is easy to remove and wash, the straps are practically impossible to tangle up, and the buckles are easy to do and un-do. A new feature of the UltimateComfort Series is the Click & Safe snug harness. Basically, it clicks when it’s in the snugness range so you know it’s tight enough. I always pull it a little tighter than the click, but the click is nice for when I’m in a hurry and can just hear it and go.
The whole harness and head protection can be adjusted to baby’s height by squeezing a handle and adjusting. No re-threading, makes it a lot easier to keep at shoulder height of a growing child!

With head protection, side-impact protection (the plastic puffy things on the sides), energy absorbing EPP foam, safe cell technology in the harness under the chest clip, and way more, I feel super safe putting Micah in this car seat. The drivers in this area aren’t exactly the best drivers in the world and being in the ER means I hear about and see the results of accidents every day, so I know Micah needs to be safely tucked in EVERY TIME we drive. I love that the Britax Advocate is lined with padding to keep Micah comfy and safe.

The Britax Advocate has a cup holder that can be installed on either side, which Micah loves and can easily reach. The crotch-pad protects him from getting caught in the buckle and keeps the hot plastic from pressing into his legs.
The 65 pound weight limit means Micah can be safely back-facing up to 40 pounds and then forward facing after that. Micah hates getting into the car most days, he dislikes being restrained, but he is definitely happier in his Britax car seat than in the infant seat we used in between the lost and the new.
