My mother is a wonderful woman and I marvel at her strength, courage, compassion, capacity for love and forgiveness and her unconditional acceptance of the woman I have become. She has disagreed with many of my choices, but supported me anyway. And yes, she helped me pick up the pieces when my life shattered around me without once judging me. Now, this may not seem extraordinary to most people. But I have friends that have never experienced such a relationship with their own mothers. I’m blessed.
