Ella’s Kitchen Snacks- No Prep Snacks for Preschoolers #Snacks #RoadTrip

We recently took an impromptu trip across the country. 1 hour to pack, 2 days to drive from New Mexico to Minnesota. Then back home a week later. Doesn’t exactly scream Pack the perfect snacks and toys for the road! I threw whatever we had in the cupboard into a bag and hoped the kids wouldn’t turn in little gremlins in the back seat. I’m SO HAPPY I had samples from Ella’s Kitchen in my cupboard! The pouches, drink boxes, and nibbly fingers were PERFECT for the trip. Easy to eat, nutritious and safe for their precious bodies, and tasty.

Ella's Kitchen Snacks

I love the nutritious aspects of the Ella’s Kitchen snacks. I’m not an organic mom by any means, but I’m getting tired of preservatives and dyes. Ella’s Kitchen uses normal ingredients instead of a laundry list of things I can’t pronounce. So I can rest assured that the list of ingredients doesn’t include the next suspected cause of cancer. Organic ingredients and natural sugars also means decent calorie and sugar intake. Not much in the way of vitamins either, but it definitely beats other sugary, preservative-filled cupboard type snacks.

The taste is something I can’t really vouch for, but my kids can. They love them. The pouches especially, they’ll suck down 4 or 5 in a row if I let them. The cookies and nibbly fingers too; they’ll bring me package after package to open for them. I’ll be honest, I tasted them. I thought each thing was a little bitter with a bad aftertaste. Not my idea of delicious, but my kids definitely love them, so I’m happy.

I also love the packaging of the Ella’s Kitchen snacks. The pouches are great serving sizes for littles, and bigger kids can easily have more than one if they want. The packaging is thick, so I’m not worried about them busting when packed in a bag. The cookies and nibbly fingers are individually packaged, so I can easily throw a few in a bag and go. And the juice boxes are basic juice boxes – easy to poke the straw in, flip the “wings” out for holding, and go.
