We’ve been looking for a good wagon since we moved here and finally found it: the Little Tikes Explorer Wagon. Now that Emersyn is sitting, wagon rides are a great way to get around, whether within our yard or around the neighborhood. Micah can pull toys around, I can pull Emersyn and Micah, and Emersyn can safely sit in the wagon and play while Micah and I play nearby (sitting the wagon means she’s safe from eating rocks, grass and other things that mysteriously get in her reach!). We love the Little Tikes Explorer Wagon for it ease of use, flexibility and fun.
Little Tikes Explorer Wagon: The Set Up
So, the Little Tikes Explorer Wagon has a little assembly required. It’s not bad though.
And I LOVE that the handle connects directly to the front axel so it easy and accurate to turn. Plus the walls can be easily removed and replaced, so it can be a flat bed for hauling bigger items, or so it can fit in a trunk. It can hold up to 300 pounds, so it can haul a LOT, AND I can feel comfortable sitting in it to play with either kid.
Little Tikes Explorer Wagon: The Fun
The Little Tikes Explorer Wagon rolls easily and smoothly with big wheels so it can, with some difficulty, roll on our little rocks in our front yard. It’s big enough to easily fit Micah, Emersyn and toys. Or I can sit in it with Emersyn while Micah plays in his Little Tikes sandbox (also awesome, review coming soon). I love that it has an umbrella hole and plan on buying an umbrella for it soon. It also has water holes so water will drain out the bottom, though it still leaves little puddles at the edges.
Micah absolutely LOVES going for wagon rides, as does Emersyn. We took it for a walk to the grocery store once, it was perfect. And a wagon is just more fun and exciting than a stroller in the eyes of my toddler (and myself). And the sides are the perfect height so Micah can get in and out on his own, but baby E is in no danger of pulling herself out.
Little Tikes Explorer Wagon: The Bad
The Little Tikes Explorer Wagon has very little bad. The two little cup holders are a little too small for my Contigo water bottles, but they fit Micah’s sippy cups no problem. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say, the Little Tikes Explorer Wagon is fantastic.
