Gynoii Pan-Tilt Video Monitor
I’ve blogged about my favorite budget-friendly baby monitor Gynoii a few times and now I’m excited to introduce you to their new monitor: Gynoii GPW-1025. This new Gynoii monitor has all the awesome features of the original Gynoii monitors with a huge added perk: remote movement!

If you’ve read any of my other Gynoii monitor reviews, you’ve read about the perks that I love. Like most monitors, all the Gynoii video monitors have night-vision, two-way communication, motion and sound alerts, music and white noise, and mute. Unfortunately, the Gynoii monitors do shift to night vision easily, thus eliminating color from a picture when other monitors may still be in night-vision, but that’s not a big deal since I’m generally checking on my kids at night when night-vision is necessary.
Above and beyond the typical features, the Gynoii monitors all have a few awesome features like taking time-lapse videos, setting up guest accounts so other family members can see baby, and pinch-zoom for getting a closer look.
I also love the ability to change the alert sensitivities and change the video feed quality so I can still get some video feed when I don’t have a high-quality connection. On low or even medium, the video is definitely not high-quality, but it’s enough to make sure the kids are safe. The video quality in general is not as high-definition as more expensive monitors, but it’s good enough to see decent details.
A fun feature I just discovered: you can edit snapshots and videos with fun pictures and music then post them to social media or send them to others!
The new GPW monitor has a few added abilities including my favorite: the ability to remotely move the monitor. This allows me to move the camera up, down and side to side from my phone. Simply touch the option and swipe your finger along the picture to pull it the direction you want to go. Unfortunately, it moves slowly in small segments. Gynoii is aware that it’s not working well or quickly and they are working on improving it for the next update.
Gynoii Video Monitor Overall Review
The new Gynoii monitor has the great features of the others with the added perk of remotely moving the camera. I now have three cameras in my app and can flip from room to room effortlessely. It does glitch from time to time, then I just close it all out and re-open it. The app and pictures load quickly and easily, better with a stronger connection. The remote movement ability needs work as it moves slowly and in very small chunks, hopefully this will improve with updates down the line.
The Gynoii GPW isn’t the best camera out there, but it’s more budget-friendly than most. I’ll let you know when another update comes through for the remote movement, with improvement in the remote movement ability this camera would easily rival those that are twice the price.
