Anthozoa Hybrid Shoes
The weather is nice enough for lots of outdoor play, even for water play for some days! No rain yet, but we are hoping for some soon and then we’ll go puddle jumping! The Anthozoa is a shoe that fits like a sneaker, but made of super-light, thin material, with sandal-like openings for water play and breathability. It’s perfect for water play and puddle jumping while also providing the great grip and foot-protection of tennis shoes. Since the grass here is rough and sand burrs lie in wait to hurt little feet, shoes are important for puddle jumping. Sometimes sandals just don’t cut it for fast-moving feet on outdoor adventures!
When I gave my son his Anthozoa shoes, he was so excited! He loved the bright colors and that he could easily put them on himself. His immediate reaction was “I love these! They’re like sneaks but I don’t need socks!” and “They are so comfy!”. He loves to pull them on for any outdoor play, but especially if we are getting the hose out or doing a lot of running.
I love that the Anthozoa shoes are lightweight, easy to put on and adjust with the squeeze-pull tab on top, and dry super quickly. Plus I can throw them in the wash if (when) they get filthy. We can wear them to the splash pad and puddle jumping and they’ll be dry before we even get home. No more wet shoes for days; no more sandals and bare feet on pokey, sand-burr filled grass and playgrounds. I can protect my kids’ feet without worrying about the water ruining their shoes.
