This summer has proven to be extremely fun for us this year. Having our first child attend school full time definitely made our summer get a lot more precious. It’s ending here in a little over a week and I’m still planning last minute fun activities for the family. Last weekend we headed up to my moms cabin , which was so exciting for the boys. During our trip we arranged for a special grandkids’ weekend at the cabin at the conclusion of the first week of school. This was so exciting until my 6 year old realized that grandma might be aware of his night time diaper for bed-wetting, and Isaw his confidence fall right on the floor.
Yes, our oldest sleeps so so heavy, that even when we get up in the night to bring him to the bathroom, we have to hold most of his body weight and he is essentially still asleep while we instruct him what to do. We’ve tried the alarm system, which wakes him up in a frightened mode and has slightly traumatized him so we moved away from that until he’s ready to try again. Meanwhile, those diapers are not fun for him. So I began my search for something that would help him gain confidence with overnights while still keeping his blankets dry.
