Discover the World Playmat
When I received this playmat, I was sure that Micah would take one look at it and walk away. It’s meant to be an awesome tummy-time paradise. I was wrong, Micah loves it! He points at it and wants me to unfold it everyday. He rolls around on it, plays with the crinkly flaps, and hides things under it. It’s awesome! This Discover the World Mat from Tiny Love is fun, colorful, educational, and soft.
Tummy Time
For babies, tummy time is vital in developing neck and arm muscles. Carpet is great for tummy time, but Micah ALWAYS spit up when he was on his tummy, so the importance of a blanket or mat under him was huge. We always used his little play gym, but it didn’t have anything fun on the floor part to play with or chew on.
The Discover the World mat has crinkly flaps, a crinkly elephant ear, a compass-mirror, a soft polar bear patch, and a teething leaf. Plus bright colors, animals and the names of the continents. Definitely a great floor play mat.
When Micah gets tired of rolling around on it (if he ever does), it folds up easily and has handles to carry it anywhere, plus the plastic sleeve it comes in has handles for easy storage. I’ll probably move it to the church nursery for use there until August-baby makes an appearance.

There is a little lake in Butner NC where my husband I used to fish. He passed in 2010 at the age of 47. Some of my fondest memories are being out on the lake, just the two of us. So many weekends we spent there together. I miss those days more than anyone will ever know.
