Every Little Thing Mom does… It Matters! #GearingParentsUp #GearUpForSchool

Today’s discussion is sponsored through a partnership with The Motherhood and Office Depot® OfficeMax®. All thoughts and opinions 100% my own.

While it’s great that my kiddos are already in school and I’m feeling a little bit of the relief of them being away from me and enjoying the time I have to ‘get-er-done’.. I have also come to realize how much craziness I have in my life, and how 8-3 is NOT enough time for me to catch up! First Day 2G & Prima 2016

This was my day yesterday:
Breakfast, get everyone ready and out of the house and the general rush of the morning  *WHEW* They’re off. But it’s just the beginning! Start a load of laundry, text message: hubs forgot snacks to share at work and needs it brought to him ASAP. Grab a granola bar, some mascara – a bra, and run out the door. Grocery store, coffee shop, (now the car is acting possessed..again.) hubbys work *kiss kiss*, gas light is on – call mechanics while filling up. Grocery store – again – desperately searching for nut-free snacks that will satisfy the cravings of my peanut-butter-loving child, then to Office Depot® OfficeMax® to search for a zipper folder for the oldest since it’s the latest rage in his classroom…  Drive-through lunch, important phone call, home. Eat said lunch, answer emails, call mom, *Shoot! The groceries are in the car!*, load of dishes, prep dinner ingredients, sweep floor of Cheerios from breakfast, and holy crap it’s 3:00! Run to the car and fight the rush-hour traffic to pick up the kids on time.  Cook dinner, homework help, hubbys home *YAY!* Eat, clean up dinner, scrub muddy shoes, bath time, story time, BED time! *Crash*

In short: I ran around like a crazy woman, failed to get everything done that I wanted – which made me super stressed out – and then my youngest claimed that my tomato soup is not as good as the soup from the can. I may have wigged-out a little and swore I was never cooking a good home-cooked meal again…

Tomato Soup Grilled Cheese

Point is: Often times we as parents feel super under-appreciated! We’re bending over backwards and inside-out for our families and they still complain. We think we’re not good enough, we certainly don’t compare to Mrs. perfection across the street (or down the block or at church or your best friend).. but the kids. The kids do see.. eventually (I hope).  Seeing this video from Office Depot® OfficeMax® gave me a little reassurance that I might just someday be my kids’ hero.

Gear-Up-For-School-Horizontal

Just watch this: Seriously! We are gearing up our kids for greatness!

All of the above shared moments of my day TOTALLY happened (Of course leaving out a bit of the stress and drama that I just don’t care to think about). I totally did go to Office Depot® OfficeMax® yesterday – not planned as part of this video sharing campaign – but it just happened to fit for today’s story! OfficeDepot-OfficeMax_Logo

While writing this post, I remembered that I have a load of laundry in the washer still… today my chores will start with re-washing said laundry.

Win It!!!

My daughter started Kindergarten on Monday and I have to admit I’m a bit lonely without her around. I’m a single parent (but I’m lucky enough to only have to work outside of the home 2 days a week) so I’m sure she doesn’t know all I do for her just yet. Our craziness will really begin in 2 weeks after dance and soccer start back up 🙂

I stopped working when I had my daughter years ago, and it seems my life is so much more hectic now than when I had a ‘real job’! The minute the kids get home from school especially, it’s non-stop driving to various activities back & forth for both children! I think they think I sit home doing nothing all day, when I’m actually trying to get everything else done to keep the household running!

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.

Most of whatever you assert happens to be supprisingly accurate and that makes me ponder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this in this light previously. This particular article really did switch the light on for me personally as far as this particular subject matter goes. Nevertheless there is actually one particular factor I am not too comfortable with so while I try to reconcile that with the core theme of the point, let me see exactly what all the rest of your readers have to point out.Well done.

Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?
