Cleaning Tile Floors is Hard!
Our rental house has tile floors, which look great and stay cool, but Micah’s drool and food stick to the tiles like glue. Really, I think he drools super glue! I sweep and Swiffer and, after about 30 minutes and 6 Swiffer wet pads, it looks good. For a day or so. I don’t have time to do that every day! So, I’ve been looking for a better option. The Bissell Symphony all-in-one Vacuum & steam Mopcan vacuum up food and dirt AND steam-mop my floors clean all at once!

The Bissell Symphony all-in-one Vacuum & steam Mop is small and super easy to operate! I just extend the handle, plug it in, fill the tank with water, and go. The Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop can just vacuum, just steam on Hi or Lo, or do both at once. Which is spectacular! I can vacuum my rugs, then snap on the little steamer foot and steam clean my tile floors while vacuuming up Micah’s food and sand messes (He is a messy eater and likes to bring sand into the house. Plus, the cats track around litter in the hallway that never seems to all be gone).
I was actually quite impressed by the Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop. It takes a few seconds for the steam to come out full-blown, and a few more to actually get the pad damp enough for tough spots, and then it works great. I do need to have the steam on high and scrub some to get the tougher spots, but that’s way easier than scrubbing on my hands and knees. It is difficult to scrub hard; there isn’t really any good way to push downward to give it more force, so I just had to keep steaming and rubbing over the spots. It does have a ridge-y scrubber pad that works a little better on tough spots.
The vacuum sucks great! It’s small with a small container so it won’t suck up anything big, but it sucks up food, cat hair, gravel, little rocks and kitty litter, and other little bits of trash easy peasy. The head is small enough to fit under things easily, but I do wish it had a hose or hand tool to get into small corners. The filter is washable, and the whole container is easy to remove to empty or clean. It didn’t clean my rugs quite as well as my old vacuum, but it’s way lighter and worked well enough. And it was decently quiet, which means I can do it all during nap time!
End result: my floors look great with no on-my-knees time! It took less time and it cleaned beautifully. Plus, reusable pads (washer and air dry) means no more buying Swiffer wet pads. The vacuum worked way better than sweeping, especially in the grout lines. I can clean up Micah’s messes faster so I can have more time with him (and for blogging, and working, and picking up his toys, and scrapbooking, and so much more!)
