I know, I know. It’s July – and the stores are starting to fill up with school supplies. It seems like it gets earlier and earlier each year. But then I see that friends of mine are already getting school supply lists – so I guess it does make sense.
This year I’m keeping my eyes peeled each week for the supply sale of the week. You know, when they put a pack of markers down to $0.35 each. Then I’m going to stock up. If you remember not too long ago I made the decision to do homeschool preschool this year due to financial reasons of enrolling two kids into preschool.
I am getting really nervous about the school year as the summer goes along and time slips by quickly. I realize just how hard it’s going to be to stay on track: so I have to have a very specific schedule. I’m trying to problem-solve an area for our ‘school’ to be located in our home and a place where I can store all the materials it takes to teach the kids.
I can see exactly why teachers deserve extra special gifts from their students to show how appreciated they are. Last school year I was able to get a few special gifts for our preschool teachers – but this year since I’m the teacher, I’ll have to make sure that I get myself something REALLY great.
Did someone say chocolate? Mmmmm….

My kids are in a summer program I would love to give their teachers some merci chocolates I bet they would feel appreciated for all they do.
I know what a handful one child can be, never mind a classroom full of children. We try to send supplies/treats throughout the year.

My oldest son has had the same teacher for the past three years. Next year he will be in high school and now we found out she will be changing grades again this year and be my youngest sons teacher. She might as well be family, now.
I would use the GC to purchase school supplies for my nieces and nephew. It would be a big help for my sister who is a teacher herself and has to buy supplies for her classroom along with supplies for her kids.
