When we have the opportunity to give gifts to people who really could use a gift – it’s even better. It’s more real! This weekend was Auntie Jen’s Birthday! So after picking up Andrew from school, we went up to our local Hallmark Gold Crown store and had our mind set on a musical greeting card. They have SO MANY to choose from, so we were positive we were going to find the perfect one to get for her.
Of course when we were looking we couldn’t help but assign certain cards to other family members as well… We know that Grandpa’s birthday isn’t for a few months, but this card is the perfect one for him!
And recently we moved my grandma from her more independent senior living to a full-time memory care facility, which is much like a mental ward if you ask me… It’s sad, and they have nothing to brighten their day. I just KNOW this will make her smile!

But back to our original purpose for going to Hallmark – Was to pick out the perfect card for Auntie Jen. We had fun listening to all the cards and imagining the reactions of our giftees.
We ended up with three cards, and a ‘million dollar bill’. Auntie Jen’s card went straight to the envelope with signatures because she was coming over that evening.
Auntie Jen loves the boys and it was so fun to see her reaction and catch it on video!
You don’t even necessarily have to VISIT your local Hallmark Gold Crown Store to purchase these cards (as fun as that is!). You can actually go online, pick a card and have it mailed to you, or type a message and have the card mailed directly to your recipient! How cool is that?
