Awesome Boy Bed!

DHP Metal Twin Racer Bed
We still love our DHP futon and mattress so we are excited to show you the DHP Metal Twin Racer Bed which is just what is sounds like: a twin bed that looks like a race car, wheels, spoiler and all! The boys all love it; every boy that has come into our house has been jealous!
Daddy was so excited about it, he assembled it within 30 minutes of its arrival at our house. He said the assembly was easy and straight-forward. The only problem he had was getting the feet totally snug on, he pulled out his electric tools and got them on solidly that way. Otherwise he had no trouble following the instructions and everything came together easily.
The only other edit Peter made was wrapping foam (foam pipe protectors) around the two side bars so the kids wouldn’t hurt their heads getting out between the bars, and we don’t hit our heads when we snuggle.
The DHP metal twin racer bed looks awesome! The wheels are detailed, the shelf looks like a spoiler, and extras like headlights and “springs” on back make it look authentic. Plus the DHP twin racer bed is the perfect height – a two year old could easily climb in and out, no problem, or an older boy can feel like a big boy in a real bed.
The racer bed is a twin, so it can be used for many, many more years to come. The nice shelf above the head is great for an elementary schooler’s alarm clock, water cup, or bedtime stories. Best of all, it’s solid. It’s rated for 225lbs, but the four of us have all sat on it together and heard no creaking or groaning.
Cons? Between the wheels sticking out the sides and the shelf at the head, it does take up more space than a typical twin bed, but the extra few feet of space is totally worth the awesome appearance!
