A while back I introduced you to the Belibea Maternity Bra while they ran a kickstarter. Now the BeliBea bra is in production and I got the chance to review one! The Belibea maternity bra has multiple flaps to be worn as a bra, nursing bra, or pumping bra. Plus built-in pads for nipple coverage and leak protection. It’s fantastic in theory and great in reality!
Belibea actually did a really good job with this maternity bra. The purpose, being both a nursing and pumping bra, is achieved 100% successfully. I can easily flip down both flaps to nurse baby E, or just the front flap to pump. The slit in the pumping portion is big enough to easily slide my breastpump piece through but small enough to hold it in place while pumping. It’s definitely more comfortable than using foam tape! The Belibea maternity bra pumping flaps are strong enough to hold the pump/bottles on until there is more than 4 oz in the bottle, then the weight of the bottle is too much and I have to hold it on. It’s not often that I pump more than 4 oz per side though.
The bra itself is great. It doesn’t provide quite as much support as a bra with underwire, but the elastic around the bottom provides good support and hold. The stitching down the center also provides a bit of separation so I don’t have a uni-boob. The fabric is stretchy but supportive and not itchy at all. There are pads in the front flaps that are thick for leakage protection and nipple coverage, and are easily removable if needed. Finally, the fit is good. Normally I can’t buy bras online because it’s nearly impossible to find one that fits right. I followed the chart to pick my Belibea size and I am satisfied with the fit I received.
Overall I’m really happy with my Belibea bra. I love that it can be used for nursing, pumping or both at the same time! It’s comfortable and flexible, and a good bra is irreplaceable for a nursing mom! Check out the Belibea bra online and on Facebook for more information.

This is a really good Nursing bra that also can be used to pump breast milk out when needed! I had a nice nursing bra and this would be great for my sister to get!
I seriously wish I would have had something like this with my first daughter. I had to almost exclusively pump, and while I loved my hands-free pumping bra, it was a total pain to have to change into it every time I needed to pump. I’ll remember to recommend this one to fellow moms!

That’s pretty cool! It would be nice to not have to slip on a handsfree bra when pumping at work. This is a great combination. It’d be nice if it held up to more than 4 oz…I usually get over that per side on my first pump of the day.
