Babies’R’Us Celebrates Baby’s First Easter – Free Event!

It’s evident all over the country (Yep, Even in Minnesota!) that winter is coming to an end, and spring is on it’s way! Spring means Easter – one of my favorite times of year. I love the idea of Easter egg hunts, pretty dresses, bow ties, and all things bunnies and chicks and cuteness all around. Being that I’m a Dental Hygienist, you’d guess that Easter would be one of my least favorite holidays ~ but it’s not! I even break down and get my boys each a little bit of candy… not much though. Definitely nothing sticky! I try to stick to shopping only at Toys’R’Us for Easter – and that keeps me pretty focused away from the candy isles.

Babies'R'Us In-Store Easter Event Saturday March 28th Click for more details!

This year, Babies’R’Us is celebrating the little ones with an in-store event! Babies’R’Us may not be your first thought of places to get your Easter gear – but they are stocked with everything parents and gift-givers need to make this Easter extra special.  It’s so fun to look back at all those great Easter photos we have and love. I always try to have a small candy trail leading from the boys’ beds up to their prize… so when they wake up, they eat their way up to a fun present! I remember how excited Andrew was when he found the Easter Basket that Grandma hid out back!  Andrews Easter Age 2

This was Ethan’s first Easter as well – and we did a super fun activity at Church – and he was able to find (And suck on) a few of his own eggs! Ethan's First Easter Church

This Saturday, March 28th from 10-11am – parent’s can bring their little bunnies to Babies’R’Us stores nationwide for a festive celebration! There will be Interactive activities for the family, a bunny hop around the stores, photo opportunities and craft and story time, too! There will also be some fantastic giveaways featuring Pampers – to cover those little bums so they don’t messy-up their outfits!!!

This year I got more candy for my kids. As a child it wasn’t part of my parents’ tradition to give me chocolate or do egg painting, so I’ve enjoyed doing that now that I have my own kids.

We color eggs the day before Easter. We then hide the real eggs inside the house the next morning, and plastic eggs outside for the kids – now the grandkids – to find.

We always do an Easter egg hunt with all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids! We put each kids first initial on the egg….so they have to look for their eggs only. That way we make sure they all get the same! So much fun….then have a ham dinner!

After the grandchildren have their egg hunt, the adults have a hunt for ‘the golden egg’. My husband creates the clues and the winner of this hunt gets a crisp $50 bill.
