As you look forward to a 4th of July gathering, make sure you grab some games to play together! Pressman and Goliath have some great games out to add to the fun! Pressman Toys Mastermind for Kids
I loved Mastermind as a kid. Figuring out the secret pattern takes memory, critical thinking, and more. The kids version has fun animal-shaped figures and bright colors to be more interesting for kids. Plus the patterns are only 3 colors long. My kids LOVE it! At 3 and 5, we amend the rules a little bit (and the 3 year old cheats pretty frequently), but they are successful at figuring out the patterns and feel really good about it when they do.
My 5 year old especially likes using his thinking skills to be able to figure out what colors it isn’t, what colors it is, and what the pattern is. Then he loves to create a pattern and watch me figure it out. He’s a very busy, hyper kid, so it’s fun to be able to sit down to a game that can be quick while still challenging his thinking skills, and seeing him learn from me as he learns to figure out the hidden colors.
Goliath and Pressman have some fun new games coming out this fall too! Pop Rocket and Kids Know Best are fun games for the kids in your house (and in your heart!).
Kids Know Best
This fun games pits kids against adults to answer trivia questions and see who can win! Geared toward young elementary age families, this is a great way to play and have some healthy competition. Plus a great opportunity to learn trivia, some of which is important and some of which is just fun to know!
Goliath Pop Rocket
Goliath Games Pop Rocket is a fun kids’ game oh catching falling stars. Simply put all the cardboard stars in the rocket, pull the string, and roll the dice to place your star-catching bowls in the area around the rocket. When the string runs out, the rocket open and shoots the stars up. The stars fly less than a foot up and just inches away, so put your bowls close by. We alter the rules related to the dice by either not using it, or by changing what the symbols mean.
