#SixOrganizedWeeks – Doors and Drawers

The backs of doors are a very under-used amazing storage space! There is almost always space behind a door, especially in pantries and bathrooms where extra space is so SO nice to have. When we moved into this house, I found a back-of-the-door shoe rack that had gotten stuffed into a closet. So, I put it to use! All the shoes that once clutter our closet and entry way floors now have a place out of the way but easy to access! And back of the door storage racks like this are useful for so much more! Imagine food in a pantry hanging on the back or the door! Or craft supplies in the office, or kid’s toys, or tools… wherever there is a door, there is another possibility!

sixorganizedweeks

The Container Store is putting on Six Weeks of Spring Order: each week you focus on a different area of your house that could be de-cluttered and organized to save so much space and hassle. You can even enter to win a $200 gift card each week! Check it out online and on Facebook for yourself and experience your own #SixOrganizedWeeks.

Love the wrapping paper storage idea! My wrapping paper tubes are always coming unrolled and look terrible laying around the closet.

What a good way for me to get organized! I need to do my shoes and have all the pairs on a shoe tree because I am always looking for my other shoe. I like the wrapping paper idea! I need to do this.

I use the back of our bedroom door for storing scarves and belts. I LOVE the wrapping paper and ribbon door storage rack. I should use this idea in our office.

I also love the wrapping paper storage idea. I haven’t figured out a solid choice for that yet but am going to try this one. Thanks for the idea!

I sure need to organize shoes. With 5 kids and them all having several pair, we have shoes everywhere. They have their gym shoes, church shoes, etc. It jsut seems I am always telling them to pick them up.
