How To Celebrate Your Littlest Graduate with Preschool Graduation Announcements

Preschool graduation is a big deal in your child’s life! Though they may still be small, preschool is a huge step in their academic path. No matter if your child is transitioning to kindergarten or to another early learning program, preschool graduation announcements are a wonderful way to make a fun yet significant mark on this momentous event.

So, sit back and let me tell you why preschool graduation announcements are important, as well as how to design them creatively, and how to tell the world about it.

Why You Need to Send Preschool Graduation Announcements?

You may be thinking, “Do I really need to send announcements for preschool graduation?” Although it isn’t necessary, here are a few good reasons why you should:

  • Celebrate Achievements – Just because your child is young doesn’t mean that they can’t celebrate this accomplishment of finishing preschool! Your child has learned such crucial things as sharing, counting and letter recognition.
  • Include Family & Friends – Not everyone may be able to make it to the ceremony, but it is great to be able to send an announcement so that loved ones can feel like they are a part of your child’s milestone.
  • Create Lasting Memories  –  Graduation announcements are kept in scrapbooks and memory boxes; it serves as a reminder of this  day for both you and your child.
  • Give Your Child Confidence – Every child loves to feel special! Celebrating even the little things makes them proud of their work and can help set them up for future success.

How to Create the Perfect Preschool Graduation Announcement

You now know why it is great to send an announcement. Now, I’m going to show you how to write it! Here are some fun and easy ways to design the perfect preschool graduation announcement:

1. Select a Fun Theme

Think about your child’s personality and interests they have.  With that in mind here are some cute theme ideas to get your started.

  • School Bus Adventure – A illustration of a bus and school supplies.
  • Future Scholar – Using a mini cap and gown photo.
  • Animal Friends – A playful design with cartoon animals celebrating.
  • Rainbow &  Balloons – Bright, colorful designs to match the joy of preschool graduation.

There are tons of others that make work even better for your child just depending on your child.

2. Use a Photo of  Your Graduate

To make your graduate announcement even more special, include a photo of your little one in his/her cap and gown, or holding a diploma, or even with a big smile on his/her  face. Another fun idea is to have them pose with a chalkboard that has “Kindergarten, here I come!” written on it.

3. Personalize the Message

Your announcement should include details such as:

  • The name of your child
  • The name of the preschool
  • The date of the graduation
  • A sweet message like “Watch out kindergarten, here comes [Child’s  Name]!” or “We’re so proud of [Child’s Name] and can’t wait for the next  adventure!”

4. Choose the Format

You can send announcements in different formats:

  • Printed  Cards – A fun and formal way to keep it traditional yet fun with a cute keepsake.
  • Digital Announcements – Share by email or social media with a cute digital design.
  • Video Message – Share a short video of your child saying “I did it!” with friends and  family.

Fun Ways to Share Your Preschool Graduation Announcement

Once your announcements are final, it is time to make the world know what has happened in your family. Here are some tips that you  can use to pass your message across:

  1. Mail Them to Family & Friends

Using physical announcements makes it more personal. It will be fun for grandparents, aunts, and uncles to receive  a beautifully designed card in the mail.

  1. Create a Social Media Post

If you are more of a digital person, you can make a graduation post on Facebook or Instagram. Using hashtags like  #PreschoolGraduate, #BigKidNow, or #KindergartenBound is a fun way to  celebrate the occasion!

  1. Host a Virtual Graduation Party

When family members are far away,  it is possible to have a zoom or face time celebration.  Your child can show the cap and gown to everyone and you can make the announcement!

  1.  Include Announcements with Thank You Notes

If your child got gifts from teachers or friends, you can send your graduation announcement along with the thank you note to make it more special.

Make It a Celebration!

Besides sending announcements, make your preschooler’s graduation an event to remember. Some of the ways to celebrate at home are explained below:

  • Throw a Mini Graduation Party – Graduate graduation party with decorations, balloons and a small  cake.
  • Fun Photos – Have a mini photo session with props like a diploma, graduation  cap and signs that say “Next Stop: Kindergarten!”
  • Graduation Certificate – Get  a cute diploma with your child’s name and a fun title like “Superstar Preschool Graduate.”
  • Graduation Gift – A book about starting kindergarten, a new personalized backpack or a fun  new lunchbox may help your child get more excited for their next big adventure.

Preschool graduation is a great event for both you and your child and making preschool graduation announcement is a fantastic way of extending  the joy to loved ones as well as documenting the event. Whether you decide to use physical cards or a digital design, the most important thing is to ensure that the joy is passed across and your little  graduate is made to feel special.
