You are here: Home / Family / Which way do you put the T.P?

Which way do you put the T.P?

Ok. I had a friend here the other day – and Just as they got here I realized the toilet paper in our main bathroom (the one my husband regularly uses) was out.  So I ran in there to change the roll really quick because I didn’t want her son (who’s 3 1/2 and fully potty trained) to get confused about where to find the toilet paper.

Anyway. I must have done the same thing the last time they came over, because my husband commented on it today.  Here’s our conversation:

Joe: Kari must have replaced the toilet paper roll again?
Amy: What? Why do you say that?
Joe: Well she did it last time too – she puts it on backwards!
Amy: What do you mean backwards?!
Joe: Well Its supposed to go like where when Andrew is unrolling the toilet paper(showing with his hands unraveling TP roll like only a toddler would do) then it unrolls easily…
Amy: Like at the hotels where they fold the last piece of TP?
Joe: yeah. that’s how its supposed to go. It’s supposed to be easy to get off the roll.
Amy: Why?? *dumbfounded because TP is just easy to me and I don’t really think too much about the direction it is in…*
Joe: Well.. it’s just easier that way.. like if I have to blow my nose, I don’t want to have to bend over to get the TP off.. I just want it to roll off.
Amy: wow. Ok. Well, I did it! Never knew there was a right and wrong way!

So: What way do you put your TP on??

Lol..I have to laugh at this because I never cared until I was pregnant and got up in the middle of the night half asleep. When I grabbed for the TP..I couldn't find the end!!! Well being pregnant this really got me mad. Ever since then I always make sure the TP is FORWARDS! : ) Great post!

LOL! I don't pay any attention! I guess whichever way it is pointing when I put it on!

It is more important that the paper is there in the first place. That being said, it should go over. Now, about the toilet seat cover…

I love this topic! Too funny! I am definitely a “forward” girl and get annoyed when it’s not that way. The bathrooms where I work have the TP backwards and it literally drives me insane! LOL I guess I have TP OCD! 😉

Giggle, always forward. When My Mum came to visit last year I noticed she even adds a little point.

No joke – I almost did a quick post on this not long ago just out of curiosity because most of us have our way! I’m a forward flap girl. Hubs just tosses it on there – if that. But two family members put it backwards to prevent their cats from having a field day.
