Great DIY Playtable for Preschoolers

My preschooler loves playing with small items like marbles, beans, and legos. But playing on the floor is hard on the knees, and harder to clean up. So my loving husband built a fantastic play table for his imagination to run wild on! This play table is great for a variety of toys, crafts, and more!
DIY playtable
The construction was simple, the result spectacular! Peter took a shelf from a broken shelving unit (hazard of moving!), built walls of 1x4s, and screwed it down to two plastic drawers units. He used 1x4s on each side of the drawer units for extra support just in case.

The end result is a solid play table with high walls and plenty of space for both kids to play. The toys stay on the table (mostly), the drawers hold the variety of toys that are great for a playtable (gears, vehicles, beans, blocks and more!). We were lazy and didn’t paint ours, but you surely could if you want to put in more time and effort!
We put our drawers facing opposite directions so both kids have a set on “their” side, but you could make them face the same direction so it could be set against the wall without blocking drawers.

If you wish for a bigger or smaller table, it’s just a matter of a different size base. If you go much bigger, consider extra supports (legs) as well.

I like the ELDERBERRY LIQUID EXTRACT from Quantum Health. Elderberry has more Vitamin C than oranges.
