Olaf Halloween Treat Bucket #Frozen #Halloween

olaf treat bucket final

If your entire household can belt out the entire soundtrack of Frozen chances are good that you have a Olaf fan. I am at the point of having a love/hate relationship with this movie-while I do love the storyline, amazing animation, and lovable characters I do not love that I have watched it approximately eleventy-hundred times since is release.  This Halloween though – You can take an inexpensive Halloween treat bucket, a can of cheap spray paint, a few felt or craft foam pieces and transform it into that lovable warm hug loving character we all adore-Olaf.

Whether you have a princess Elsa or Anna in costume that would adore this to go along, or you want to extend the life of a bucket right through winter this craft project is quick and easy. If you dont have the bucket on hand already you can pick one up for $2 or less at Walmart, I found mine at a yardsale for a quarter, making it an even thriftier project.

Supplies Needed:
plastic pumpkin treat bucket
craft foam or felt in orange, white, and black
white spray paint
1 black pipe cleaner
black sharpie
hot glue gun/glue sticks
scissors

Olaf SuppliesDirections:
Spray your bucket lightly with an even coat of paint, allow to dry for 10 minutes.
Add 2-3 more coats until sufficiently covered, drying 10 minutes between each one.
After final coat dry for a minimum of 4 hours before attaching details.

Cut pipe cleaner into 3 slightly varied lengths, attach to the top of pail for Olaf’s trademark hair.
From black felt or foam cut 2 round circles about 2” diameter, eyebrows, and a wide black mouth.
From white felt cut 20 1 1⁄4 “ diameter white circles, and a long rectangle shaped tooth.
Cut a carrot from the orange and add ridge detail with a black sharpie.

Hot glue all your pieces to the proper spots on his face: be careful not to touch plastic directly with the metal tip of the glue gun or it may melt a hole.
