Cheerios Protein Gives you Long-Lasting Energy in the morning! #CheeriosProtein

Mornings at my house can be a little… rough. See. I’ve got boys – and these boys are ravenous monsters in the morning! They come in sometimes as early as 5:30am begging for us to give them food. Their bellies are surely melting away to pure starvation. In our sleepy stupor – we clomp our way to the kitchen and pour them a bowl of whatever cereal they decide on and then fall back into bed until our real wake-up time.

Grumpy Morning FaceLately we’ve tried getting better at giving our children something more nutritious, especially in the morning. The problem really lies in the fact that they are again HUNGRY – yes, STARVING! – less than an hour after breakfast. I’ve got to be manning that kitchen and really fighting them off from eating sweets and snacks to fill their cravings! I know they just need something more long-term sustainable food in their tummies. Some PROTEIN.  Maybe it’s terrible of me – but I’m certainly not going to make eggs or any other fancy breakfast food as I’m rushing myself to get ready for work to get the kids protein, but I was very happy to find that they could get 11 grams of protein in one bowl of Cheerios Protein cereal with milk.

image001 (1) According to to a recent survey conducted by KRC Research for Cheerios Protein – a vast majority of parents (nearly 3/4 of those surveyed) feel that their family doesn’t get enough protein in the morning, and 2 out of 5 families see the time it takes to make a protein-rich breakfast as a barrier, making way for Cheerios Protein as the time-saving solution.Cheerios Protein Study

So we gave it a try. I got a few boxes of cereal from General Mills and before I could even photograph it – my husband was through an entire box. He loved the Cheerios Protein ‘Oats & Honey’.  I don’t mind him eating a bunch of that, because Cheerios Protein also has 100% whole grain and can help lower his cholesterol by providing 0.75 grams of soluble fiber per serving. Cheerios Protein

The kids also really enjoyed it. They had the Cinnamon Almond flavor. Ethan finished up his bowl right away, and was dramatically enjoying the Cinnamon flavors… Andrew whined because he heard that daddy ate all the one with Honey and Oats and he wanted THAT one! But after all was said and done – they both really liked it. Cheerios Protein Kids

So for sure the Cheerios protein (Obviously the Oats & Honey) made it on to our next grocery list, and we’ve been gobbling it up. And as a pretty busy and tired mom – I feel better knowing that they’re getting more protein in the morning without any extra effort on my behalf.

And now for a limited time you can get $1.00 off any ONE BOX of Cheerios Protein! Click the image below for the Cheerios Coupon! This is a limited-time offer and 1 coupon per household is allowed.

What a great product! Cereal is so great for an easy breakfast but this makes it even better. Adding protein really helps fuel the body for the day!

Photos are wonderful! You did a great job capturing them. Honey Nut Cheeries make a great snack for me. Even though I don’t really buy cereal too much any more.

Cheerios have been my favorite cereal since I was a little kid and the only one I eat as an adult. I haven’t tried the new protein version yet.

Cereal is usually what leaves me the most hungry. I use cheerios in trail mix and treats – adding protein is great.

Before I started Atkins, Cheerios was my first choice for breakfast. I kept a box of it at school so when I arrived in the morning (an hour and a half before school began) I would sit at my desk and have my bowl of cereal. I loved it, yet you are so right, it wasn’t fulling. I love that there is a Cheerios protein, I have learnt that protein is so important for our diets and getting some for breakfast is highly recommended.

My toddler used to love Cheerios when she was younger, now she wants the sweeter stuff that her siblings eat. I still walk around with them as a snack in her baby bag though.
