Seeking Sponsorship For BlogHer 2013

January 16, 2012

If you’re looking to get your company recognized among highly influential bloggers –then BlogHer is where you want your name to appear.  BlogHer is a yearly conference with 4000 bloggers of all varieties, niches, and backgrounds – with one major goal in mind:  To learn more about blogging and to get involved with some great companies.

Often times companies would like to become part of BlogHer – but find that it is a huge commitment of cost and time to have their own booth or sponsor the actual event.  Unless if your company has hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on marketing at this conference – your best bet is to find a great blogger to get your name through.

I am looking to attend the BlogHer conference with your companies best interests in mind – both marketing your product(s) and getting you in touch with some of the highest influential bloggers that are taking their blogging careers seriously.

Below are some examples of sponsorship packages that I am available for.

All terms are negotiable. Ideally I will be doing something that will mutually benefit both your company and myself.  I am fully open to other ideas.

  • Full Announcement with a blog post, along with several Facebook posts, and Tweets announcing your business and/or products as my sponsor before BlogHer.
  • A detailed blog post, Facebook post and  Tweet within 2 weeks after BlogHer, including a giveaway or review/giveaway if you so choose.
  • During BlogHer I will Tweet and post daily on Facebook giving your company a shout out to the BlogHer participants. All event related facebook posts will be prefaced with: “This update brought to you by {your company}”, and several tweets with your mention in it (assuming it fits in the tweet)
  • I will wear your branded clothing for both[conference half of the] days during BlogHer.  Photos of me will be shown on my blog in Follow-Up BlogHer posts.
  • SWAG distribution if applicable is included with the full sponsorship. See details below.
  • Half of my business card will be yours as my BlogHer ’12 Sponsor.  To get whatever message or information across to the bloggers I meet – I handed out approximately 300 at BlogHer ’11.
Communication: Netbook, Laptop, Tablet or iPad2

Communication is vital at BlogHer.  Twitter is the way to get around, and the most commonly used method of communication.  Almost everyone can be found on their mobile device, netbook, or tablet with Twitter open – trying to see what is going on all around them.

  • A Facebook post and Tweet announcing your business and/or products as my sponsor before BlogHer as well as a mention of your company in my ‘going to BlogHer’ post just prior to the conference.
  • Every non-sponsored blog post or Facebook message done at BlogHer’12 will be prefaced with “This post was made possible by (Your Company Name).” or other phrase to be negotiated.  At least four posts per day.
  • During BlogHer ’12 I will Tweet three times a day, and post daily on Facebook giving your company a shout out to the BlogHer participants.
  • A detailed blog post, Facebook post and Tweet within 2 weeks after BlogHer, including a giveaway or review/giveaway if you so choose.
SWAG distribution

While it is against BlogHer rules to distribute swag at the Expo or at the common areas of the the hotel, I can distribute swag during other non-BlogHer-sponsored events.

Swag must be shipped separately to the hotel. Any Excess SWAG will be left with the SWAG Swap held the day after the conference unless return shipment is paid for.

Swag Distribution is complimentary with full sponsorship.

I also can add the option to ask people to tweet, mentioning your company as a means to get your swag from me.  Tweeting is super powerful at BlogHer – Over 40,000 tweets last year during the BlogHer sessions.

Please contact me if any of these options might suit you, or if you would like to discuss further about how you can become a part of BlogHer by sending me as your representative.   Thanks!
