Now that the frozen snowy tundra has finally hit Minnesota – *UGH!* – I am starting to see and feel the effects of the dry winter air.

Ethan Snow Shovel 2

Over the past several weeks I’ve been having to make sure to drink a ton of water at bed time, and keep it by my bed at all times – because the room is SO dry and I start coughing. Even without feeling ill, I usually wake up with a scratchy throat.

I’ve had to step up my game in the face-department as well.  Meaning, I need a good facial moisturizer every morning (which I often skip during the humid summer months *eek!*) and my LIPS!. Oh don’t even get me started with my lips.

(Sorry about image quality here! Had to crop a TON from my phone!)

Lips

My lips are about the only part of me that I have to constantly care for in the winter… so finding a really good healing ointment is imperative!

I <3 Aquaphor’s Lip Repair and Protect to fix my cracked lips and keep them nice and soft!

Lips2

I don’t have terribly dry hands, and with the exception of one time (when I was working 10+ hour days at a dental office, using medical grade soap – which I just so happened to be sensitive to) my hands have never been cracked and bleeding due to dryness. {Lucky Me!}

But my poor Ethan – he’s got some slight eczema going on all over his body (thankfully not his face!) and it worsens in the dry winter months… so we use the Aquaphor Healing Ointment that my friends have all recommended for us.
